A Prayer for Reflection

This week, I wish to share a portion of a prayer attributed to Patrick of Ireland. May it guide your words as you pray to our Lord.

I arise today, through
God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me
From snares of devils,
From temptation of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
afar and near.

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

With grace and peace,
Will

FPC Wish List

Did you know that FPC has a Session-approved Wish List?  It’s a list of things that our ministry areas are looking for but aren’t able to be funded through the church’s regular budget.  If you are ever in a position to make a special donation of any amount, please check out our Wish List by clicking here and consider helping to provide an item listed.

Pledge Drive Update – Week Three

An additional $70,440.00 by 14 pledgers, including three new ones, brings our three-week total to $512,495.00 for 2026, compared to week three, 2025, with $430,946.00.

This is looking really good, FPC Family!

FPC Food Drive – through Sunday, November 23

We’re asking FPC members and their families to consider donating items from a list of 5-6 “high demand” food types including: Diced Tomatoes w/ Green Chilies, Cereal, Strawberry or Grape Jelly, Chicken Broth, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Tomato Sauce, Canned Fruit (Peaches, Pears, Mandarin Oranges) and Canned Vegetables (Beans, Peas, Corn). Donated items must be unopened, unexpired, and in good condition to be accepted.

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Romans 12:12

We exist as a congregation to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known:

  • To proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ so all may come to know and love Him;
  • To nurture His people in joyful faith, fellowship, and commitment; and
  • To demonstrate His way of love in service to the world.

We use the Connector to share news of the coming week and beyond, the activities that involve a wide range of ages and interests at FPC.

When life is hard you need more than a cute poster.

If you are having a tough time with:
• Dealing with family problems
• Chronic or terminal illness in your family
• Grief
• Loneliness
• Divorce recovery

FPC has a group of Stephen Minister Caregivers trained to walk with you through these problems. They help you think things through, find resources available, look for a Biblical view of the problem, pray for you and with you if you wish. The 50 hours of training have provided them with an understanding of reflective listening, boundaries, and the importance of absolute confidentiality.

Since its beginning in 2017, Stephen Ministries helped hundreds of people both from FPC and the wider community journey through tough times.  If you want more information, you can talk to a pastor, a deacon, or one of the active Stephen Ministers listed below.
