Guest Pastors: Fred & Holly Okoth
Jambo! We are the Okoth Family, we have been proudly serving with Good News Kenya for the last 10 years.
Good News Kenya has three areas of ministry: discipleship, child sponsorship and education. Fred pastors a church and together we disciple the body of Christ.
We have a child sponsorship program of over 75 vulnerable children in Kenya and partner with their families in providing a better future for their children. Together we direct Good News Migwena Academy. GNMA is a Christian school in a rural community, providing quality and affordable education to Kenya’s next generation.
We serve alongside a great team of Kenyans that help cultivate Christ-like communities that live to proclaim hope for the future.
We love sharing about how lives are being transformed in Kenya through your prayers and partnership!

Love offerings for Pat!
After 37 years of faithful service to God as FPC of Waunakee’s Church Organist, the time has come for Pat Ronspiez to take her final bow. Pat has been a true Godsend for FPC, and her time with us goes all the way back to the little church on Fish Street.
During her tenure, Pat has not only provided our congregation with beautiful music during our normal Sunday worship services but has also been there for numerous weddings, funerals, and other special events. Pat and her musical talents have been a true blessing and cause for giving thanks.
Please join us in thanking Pat for sharing her musical talents with us for so many years and for being such an integral part of our music and worship team. We will publicly show our appreciation to Pat during our services on Sunday, July 24, and Sunday, July 31, 2022 with a special coffee hour with cake to follow the service on the 31st.
Love offerings for Pat will be collected July 19 – August 18. You can donate to Pat’s love offering via check (noting “Pat” in the memo line) or online by clicking here and indicate that it is for Pat.
Thank you,
Doug Brown

Guest Musicians for this Sunday: Roxanne and Alan Fauque
Roxy and Alan Fauque moved to Wisconsin 7 years ago from Bozeman, MT to follow their daughter Emily. Since then, they have a son-in- law and 2 precious grandchildren as well. Both are retired music teachers and have performed together in social events and as contemporary worship musicians.
Roxy prepared 126 sixth graders to perform a premier composition at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She also was honored with a Yale Distinguished Music Educator award. Upon arriving in Mount Horeb, she taught music in the schools for 4 more years.
Alan has performed in a myriad of venues and genres. He is currently performing with the All That Jazz big band and Whoz Playing, a classic rock band.
Love offerings for Donna!
After 16 years of service as FPC’s Receptionist and Office Coordinator, Donna Kopan’s last official day with FPC was Wednesday, June 29th and we wish her well in her retirement. Please join us in giving thanks to Donna for all she has done for us collectively over the years and also to God for bringing Donna into our lives. Love offerings for Donna will be collected during the month of July 2022. You can donate to Donna’s love offering via check (noting “Donna” in the memo line) or online by clicking here and indicate that it is for Donna.
Thank you,

Parking Lot Update
Brett Cable: Stewardship Elder
As we approach the beginning of construction on the new parking lot, I wanted to give an update on how the campaign to raise funds for the project is progressing. As of now, we have received 42 pledges for $134,182 for the campaign. That covers about 52 of our 119 spots that we will have in the new parking lot and significantly reduces the amount of debt that we will need to carry in future years. If you have contributed to this campaign, thank you so much for your generosity, it is truly a blessing.
If you haven’t yet contributed but would like to, now is the time! With the construction scheduled to start next month (and the bills scheduled to start rolling in), getting your pledge in now will be so helpful in allowing us to plan for the financing of this project. If you never received a pledge card or have misplaced it, I understand! Thankfully, you can simply contact Sue Gade at sgade@myfpc.org and she can either provide a new one or just collect your pledge information via email.
Painting Volunteers Need
FPC is looking for a volunteer to help do some inside painting projects at the church. Specifically we are looking to paint the pastor’s office before the interim pastor comes on board. The church will supply the materials, all you need to do is bring yourself! If you are interested call the office 608-949-9445 or call RJ Binau, the Buildings and Grounds Elder at 608-334-8032.
It’s 10 o’clock: Do you know where your serving bowls are?
A number of serving bowls remained after Pastor Kirk’s farewell picnic potluck on June 26. Please check the table in the lobby for yours! Any remaining bowls on July 31 will be added to our kitchen supplies.
Upcoming Special Music in Worship
- July 24 – Roxanne & Alan Fauque, pianist/vocalist/saxophones

Stephen Ministry at FPC: Providing God’s Care to Hurting People
What is this ministry about?
Extensively trained and supervised Stephen Minister Caregivers provide high-quality, one-on-one confidential Christian care to anyone in need. They provide weekly visits and ongoing support as long as the care receiver needs. Should the care receiver have needs that are beyond the scope of a Stephen Minister Caregiver, they are referred to professional caregivers.
What kind of care is offered from a Stephen Minister?
- CRISIS CARE – For people experiencing change(s) that significantly challenge their ability to cope.
- FOLLOW-UP CARE – After the crisis event.
- CHRONIC CARE – For a person whose situation is unlikely to change.
- PREVENTIVE CARE – Providing care before a crisis occurs.
- SUPPORTIVE CARE – Care for the caregiver.
How can I find out more about this ministry?
Call the church office at 608-949-9445, or reach out to a pastor or deacon. Stephen Minister Caregivers don’t replace the care of pastors and deacons. They carry it a step further.
