"Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways, commit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5
FPC's Student Ministries exist to help students KNOW God, GROW in relationship with Him and each other, and to GO serve others in Jesus’ name.
Teen Girls Bible Study
A Teen Girls Bible Study is meeting in the Gathering Room at FPC on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm this summer. This group is open to all middle school and high school girls.
The time will be spent watching a short video and guided discussion questions based on "Beautiful Lies" by Jennifer Strickland. When you look to men, mirrors, and magazines for a reflection of your value, you see only a distorted reflection. Former professional model Jennifer Strickland knows this all too well. Being treated like a plastic mannequin left her broken and lost, in search of her true identity. Now she bares her heart and shares her struggles, reaching out with God's truth for all women:
We are his beloved daughters.
We are his beautiful creations.
We are his shining lights.
The mirrors of the media will always change, but in the reflection of his Word, we see who we really are.
