they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  —Isaiah 40:31

A Fellowship of Future Givers

Planned giving is a wonderful way to remember the church as we prepare for the day we will depart this life and enter into the blessedness of God’s eternal kingdom. Planned gifts to help continue the work of Christ on this earth can be specified in one’s will as either a dollar amount or a stated percentage of one’s estate. A growing number of FPC’s members and friends have taken this step and discovered a great sense of satisfaction, hope for Christ’s continued work, and inner joy.

Planned Giving...

  • offers a way to think about the future needs of your family—whether this is your church family, your immediate family, or something different.
  • can be part of “the big picture” as you consider the future.
  • provides opportunities for connectedness and is a way of maintaining relationships with the church—its people, the physical building, etc.—that emerges from its past and continues into the future.
  • is open to everyone, regardless of income or net worth. Every gift to the church is valuable, important, and appreciated. God magnifies our gifts by the power of His spirit.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.”  —Matthew 6:21

The Planned Giving Committee (Harry Argue, Chair; Bill Baker; Eileen Mathwig; and Charlotte Riddle), working with estate planning professionals, has developed materials to inform you about both planned giving and estate planning issues. This information is available on request from Church Business Administrator Sue Gade or any committee member.

The committee also offers fellowship opportunities for those who might enjoy events with fellow “planned givers.” Yet others may want their gift to be known only after their passing; if this is the case, FPC will respect your desire for confidentiality.
