Our Nursery is conveniently located on the main level in the Education Wing, in Room 200. Our rooms are spacious, comfortable and full of age-appropriate toys, craft supplies, and Christian books and music. Our staff is available to care for your children during both worship services and between services for those attending Sunday school, meetings or choir practice. The nursery is open all year long and during holiday services. In addition, the nursery is often staffed and available during special church events. Contact event planners to determine whether they offer child care.
We are so proud of our committed and caring staff. All staff (including substitutes) and volunteers are carefully screened so you can enjoy worship services knowing that your children are in safe, experienced hands.
The safety and comfort of your precious little ones is our primary concern. We screen all staff, provide you with silent pagers and strive to keep our nursery clean and stocked with safe toys. We ask parents to assist by alerting us if your child has any special needs or allergies. In addition, we respectfully ask that if you know your child is sick with a fever, rash, diarrhea or other possibly contagious ailments you keep him or her at home, or with you during service.
For our specific safety guidelines, please see our Child Safety Policy
Nursery staff will give each parent or designated guardian a silent pager when they bring their child to the nursery. Should a child become distressed or injured during service, nursery staff will alert the parent by entering that child’s code into the paging machine. A light will flash on the pager and the unit will vibrate without disturbing other worshippers. In addition, parents must return pagers in order for their children to be released from the nursery, further insuring each child’s safety.
Often the nursery can use assistants or substitutes. If you are an adult or youth interested in helping, please contact Elder Karen Tack or Pastor Susan Vergeront.
