FPC's Live Nativity 2017

Live NativitySaturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17 from 5:00-8:00pm
For over twenty years, FPC has shared the majestic scene of Christ’s birth with our surrounding communities. Thousands of visitors drive through to see this scene and blessed display, complete with cast members, bonfires with shepherds and sheep, and the spirit of the Lord Himself. The Live Nativity is FPC’s largest annual outreach and fellowship event.

Christmas 2017 Worship Schedule

Children’s Nativity Service—Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 4:00pm 
Our narrator reads the story of Christ’s birth while children (ages 4yrs - grade 6) come forward in costumes provided to create a live nativity. You may bring an unwrapped “birthday gift for the Baby Jesus” (diapers, formula, clothes, toys, etc.), which will be shared with needy families. Cupcakes to celebrate the birth of Jesus will be served in Fellowship Hall after the service. Rehearsal (optional) will be Saturday, December 16, 9:30-10:00am. In addition, children (grades 1-12) are invited to sing or play an instrument as part of the service. If your child is interested in providing music, please contact Lori Phelps. Registration forms for child participants and parent volunteers are available at the welcome table in the Education Wing entrance or can be printed at home by clicking the button below. Please complete a form by Sunday, December 10. Childcare during the rehearsal and nativity service are not provided. Questions? 4th Sunday in Advent Morning Worship Service—Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 10:00am (Childcare for ages 0-2 years is provided; Sunday School or Kingdom Kids will not be held.)
 
Christmas Eve Worship Services—Sunday, December 24, 2017

Celebration Service with Contemporary Music, 6:00pm—Celebrate Christmas with music provided by the First Praise band and Praise Singers. This service is offered for those who wish to lift up Christ and praise Him in contemporary voice. (Childcare for ages 0–2 is provided.)

Celebration Service With Traditional Music, 8:00pmA traditional Christmas celebration with the Adult Choir and Joyful Noise. (Childcare for ages 0–2 is provided.)
 
Contemplative Communion Service, 10:00pm—A quiet, late-evening service and time for reflection on the meaning of Christmas. An opportunity to “be still, and know the Lord is God.” Communion will be offered to all worshippers. (Childcare is not provided.)
 
All services conclude with an all-church candle lighting and singing of “Silent Night.” The Chapel is open for prayer thirty minutes before each service. The Sanctuary doors open for regular seating twenty minutes before each service. Those requiring assistance may be seated earlier by an usher. Christmas treats are served after the 6:00 and 8:00pm services. Donated baked goods are appreciated (if you would like to donate baked goods, click here for instructions and to sign up).
