Who We Are

We are first of all a church of Jesus Christ. As a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we are a protestant denomination that began with the reformed theology of John Calvin and first organized in Scotland by John Knox in the 16th century. The name “Presbyterian” comes from the Greek word that means elder. It is a reflection of our form of church government, where elders are elected by the members of the congregation, and are responsible for all aspects of running the church.
